Cary Photographic Artists

Fuquay-Varina Alzheimer’s caregivers support group

An Alzheimer’s and dementia caregivers support group meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month at Windsor Point, 1221 Broad St. Call Frances at 919-363-2484 or visit www.alznc.org.

Fuquay-Varina Garden Club

The Fuquay-Varina Garden Club will hold a fundraiser to support community projects from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at the gardens of Anne Smith, 7313 Kennebec Road, Willow Spring. There will be croquet, bocce, live entertainment, refreshments, an auction of gift baskets, and a prize for the best garden party hat. No children. Tickets are $10.

Glory Babies

Glory Babies offers support for mothers who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. The group meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month at Good Hope Baptist Church, 6628 Good Hope Church Road, Cary. Call 919-210-0827.

Heart of Cary Association

Holly Springs Civitan Club

The Holly Springs Civitan Club meets at 7 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at Holly Springs United Methodist Church, 108 Avent Ferry Road. Call 919-621-9906.

N.C. Writers Network

The first Thursday of every month features an open mic at Royal Bean Coffee House and Gathering Space, 3801 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. If you plan to read a poem, short story or essay, email msherbondy@nc.rr.com.

Parrot Heads of N.C.

The Parrot Heads of North Carolina will meet from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Rally Point Sports Bar and Restaurant, 1837 N. Harrison Ave., Cary. The club provides a network for like-minded Parrot Heads to enjoy each other’s company, keep current on Jimmy Buffett’s activities and schedule, and sponsor or participate in events that benefit charities in the community. Republican Women

Swift Creek Township Exchange

West Raleigh Exchange Club
