Cary Mayor’s Task Force on Disability

Democratic Women of Wake County

The Democratic Women of Wake County will hold the 43rd annual Jefferson-Jackson Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at the Raleigh Convention Center. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The program will begin at 9 a.m. Maxine Waters, U.S. congresswoman from California and Nina Turner, state senator from Ohio, will be the keynote speakers. Holly Springs Rotary Club

Officer Alan Laws described the “Alive at 25” program to the Holly Springs Rotary Club at a meeting on May 23. The Holly Springs Police Department recently launched the “Alive at 25” driver safety program designed by the National Safety Council. The purpose of the program is to increase awareness by young drivers of the consequences of bad decisions and risky behavior.
