Gene Daniels Memorial Scholarship Winners

The following students won Gene Daniels Memorial Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 in our area:

Holly Springs High School

Holly Springs High School will hold its sixth annual Golden Hawks Booster Club Golf Tournament at noon Monday, June 18, at Devils Ridge Golf Club, 5107 Linksland Drive, Holly Springs. Entry fee is $95 per player and includes range balls, green fees, cart fees, lunch and dinner, a gift bag, door prizes, awards and a putting tournament. N.C. Wildlife Federation grants

The N.C. Wildlife Federation will provide up to seven grants of $1,000 each to students.

In order to qualify for the NCWF scholarships, students must be enrolled full-time at an accredited university or college and majoring in wildlife, fisheries, forestry, conservation or the environment. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale is required.
