Residents can learn more about the Cary’s downtown revitalization efforts at the first in a series of free talks with Ted Boyd, the downtown development manager.
The town will host the first Ted’s Downtown Talk at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 11, at The Cary theater, 122 E. Chatham St. Boyd will give updates on downtown events like Lazy Daze and Live at Lunch, as well as ongoing projects, including Downtown Park, a Wake County regional library with a parking deck and the Academy Street streetscape work.
“Our town ontinues to invest in its downtown revitalization,” Boyd said in a statement. “Projects such as Fire Station 2, the Cary Arts Center and The Cary Theater have spurred growth and redevelopment; in addition this year, the Academy Street Streetscape project will be completed, and we are also witnessing private development and redevelopment along Chatham Street.”
The event will include a question and answer session.
