White Tiger Taekwondo students and instructors earn awards
Students and instructors of White Tiger Taekwondo and Family Fitness Facility in Cary earned awards this summer.
White Tiger students Emily Haas and Mike Biddle competed in the National Championships held in San Jose, Calif., in July. Haas won a silver award, after tying for a gold award, in her division.
Biddle scored in the top 30 in his division, out of 900 competitors. He won a gold medal in the North Carolina Powerade State Games in July. His father, Richard Biddle, also won a gold medal at the event.
Instructor Rashad Malone won a silver medal in the European Open in Baku, Azerbaijan, in June. He won a bronze medal in the National Championships. He is eligible to win a spot on the Unites States National Team.
Master Stephanie Cuomo earned the Referee of the Year title, in part because of her work as a referee at the Powerade State Games. Grandmaster Rondy McKee, owner of White Tiger Taekwondo and Family Fitness Facility, earned a certificate for participation as a coach and instructor. Cheri Arbuckle, Robert Biddle, Patrick Cayo, Maribel Colon-Ortiz and Stephanie Cuomo also earned certificates for participation as referees.
