CROP Hunger Walk

CROP Hunger Walk, a 5k fundraiser for Church World Service and its programs that provide food and water to people around the world, will begin at 2 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 600 Walnut St., Cary. ‘A Sousa Spectacular’

Furry 5K

Second Chance Pet Adoptions’ Furry 5k fundraiser will start with registration at 9 a.m. at WakeMed Soccer Park, 201 Soccer Park Drive, Cary. There will be a 5k for people only, a 5k for people and dogs, a 2k dog walk and a 1k senior dog walk. Registration for ages 16 and younger costs $20; $30 for ages 17 and older. Child/Community Safety Day

A free Child/Community Safety Day will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Walmart, 3560 Davis Drive, Morrisville. Modern Woodmen will provide free child identification card kits. There will be fitness and safety demonstrations.

Dancing for a Cause

Dancing for a Cause will raise money for the Holly Springs Anti-Bullying Campaign and inclusive community programs from noon to 6 p.m. at the Holly Springs Cultural Center, 300 W. Ballentine St. There will be food trucks, dance performances by members of the Holly Springs School of Dance, a DJ from noon to 2 p.m., live music by Peak City Sound from 2-4 p.m. and a DJ from 4-6 p.m. Donations will be accepted. ‘Star Wars’ Reads Day

Barnes & Noble will host “Star Wars” Reads Day for kids at 2 p.m. at 760 SE Maynard Road, Cary.

Drag Bingo

Drag Bingo will raise money for the Alliance of AIDS Services - Carolina with drag performances and bingo games from 7-9 p.m. at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Lawn seating, including seven bingo cards, costs $25. Reserved tables for 10, including 10 bingo cards, cost $300. VIP stage tables for 10, including 10 bingo cards and sparkling cider, cost $400.
