Food pantry

The Point Church food pantry gives bagged groceries, a hot meal and clothing to families in need from 11 a.m. to noon Saturdays at 1503 Walnut St., Cary.

Anniversary celebration

The Temple Of God For All People will host an anniversary celebration in honor of Bishop Timothy D. Farrar, starting at noon Sunday, Nov. 23, at 853 Perry Road, Apex. The Rev. Connie Stancil of New Life Ministries in Zebulon will lead the opening service. The Rev. Anthony Farrar of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina will lead the closing service at 3 p.m. All are welcome.

Thanksgiving Fellowship Meal

Sunrise United Methodist Church’s Thanksgiving Fellowship Meal will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at 5420 Sunset Lake Road, Holly Springs. Bring a side dish or dessert to share.

Thanksgiving worship service and meal

Christmas tree sale

Saint Francis United Methodist Church’s Christmas tree sale will open at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at 2965 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary. Trees will be sold from noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Free home delivery is available. Unified worship service

White Plains United Methodist Church will host a unified worship service beginning with music at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, at 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. Lunch and the annual Advent Fair will follow. There will be a show from Hands for God Puppet Ministry, activities and crafts for all ages. There will be an Advent wreath station for adults. Christmas Party

Mosaic Church will bring in five tons of real snow for sledding at a Christmas Party from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at 270 Towerview Court, Cary. There will also be bounce houses, homemade food and more. The event is free. For details, go to www.madebeautiful.com.

Holly Springs United Methodist Church hosts “There is a Solution” Alcoholics Anonymous group meetings from 7-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 108 Avent Ferry Road.

Sisters in Support

Family support ministry meeting

A family support ministry organized by Mary Williams-Farrington and the Pardoned by Christ Ministry meets the first, second and fourth Tuesday of every month at The Point Church, 1503 Walnut St., Cary. The ministry provides support for people who have been incarcerated or who have or have had an incarcerated family member. Brown Bag Ministry

The Brown Bag Ministry, which feeds more than 1,400 people a week, is looking for middle- and high school-age volunteers. The group meets at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Apex about 9 a.m. Saturdays. Volunteers prepare bagged meals and hand them out in Raleigh.
