Food pantry

The Point Church food pantry gives bagged groceries, a hot meal and clothing to families in need from 11 a.m. to noon Saturdays at 1503 Walnut St., Cary.

Collection for needy families

Lessons and Carols

White Plains United Methodist Church’s Lessons and Carols unified service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. The story of Christmas will be told through scripture and song.

Bill Barbour Memorial Scholarship

Sunrise United Methodist Church is raising money for a scholarship in memory of Bill Barbour. Run to Change the World

Hope Community Church members and Men of Armor will host the Run to Change the World fundraiser at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at Fred G. Bond Metro Park, 801 High House Road, Cary. The Brown Bag Ministry, which feeds more than 1,400 people a week, is looking for middle- and high school-age volunteers.
