Free Spirits Ensemble

The Free Spirits Ensemble of the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and $5 for kids at www.etix.com.

‘Side Effects May Include ...’

Marc Jaffe’s comedy “Side Effects May Include ...” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, and 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at The Halle Cultural Arts Center, 237 N. Salem St., Apex. The one-man play follows a stand-up comedian whose wife is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Tickets cost $20 at www.madkapproductions.com; 10 percent of proceeds will be given to Shaking with Laughter, a not-for-profit group that supports the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Triangle Brass Band concert

The Triangle Brass Band will present a concert of favorite classical pieces at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. Tickets, which cost $15 for adults and $5 for students, are available at the Cary Arts Center, at the door or at 919-462-2055. Local artists at Wake County Public Libraries

Local artists will talk about and demonstrate their work at local libraries. Seton McGlennon will be at West Regional Library from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at 4000 Louis Stephens Drive, Cary. Kenneth Eugene Peters will be at Eva Perry Regional Library from 2-3 pm. Saturday, Nov. 16, at 2100 Shepherd’s Vineyard Drive.

Pastel Society of North Carolina exhibition

A free exhibition of the work of the Pastel Society of North Carolina will be on display until Friday, Nov. 15, at The Halle Cultural Arts Center, 237 N. Salem St., Apex.

Marvelous Music series

As part of the third Marvelous Music season, performances will begin at 7 p.m. at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave. Tickets are $26 for adults, $24 for seniors and $88 for a pack of four. Here’s the schedule:

Meet the Artisan: The Art of Decorative Handwriting

Family Dance at The Halle

Friends of the Page-Walker Hotel Winter Concert Series

The Winter Concert Series of the Friends of the Page-Walker Hotel will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24, at the Page-Walker Arts and History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary.
