‘Art Worth Stealing’ in Apex

The Apex Arts Council will hold a one-person art show called “Art Worth Stealing: The Saga of the Outlaw Artist,” featuring the work of Keith Adams, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 9, and Sunday, June 10, at the Commons Grounds Coffee House, 219 N. Salem St., Apex.

A special reception for the artist will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 9.

Raleigh Police arrested Adams on a warrant for stealing his own artwork on Jan. 31. The works had been on display at a restaurant in Apex when the establishment was foreclosed, trapping 35 of his works inside. Adams was able to retrieve all but two of the works, but the building owner swore out a warrant for his arrest due to the circumstances of the retrieval. The 33 remaining art works will be on display during the show.
