Apex student earns Eagle Scout

Christopher Gottberg of Apex has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting. He became the third generation in his family to earn this rank, behind his father Robert Gottberg, Jr. and his grandfather, Robert Gottberg, Sr.

For his eagle project, Christopher constructed four storage benches and assembled three first aid kits for the Brentwood Boys and Girls Club of Raleigh. The benches will provide storage of sports equipment for the facility as well as additional seating for assemblies.

Christopher is the son of Robert and Lore Gottberg and is a freshman at Middle Creek High School. He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 202 at St. Francis United Methodist Church in Cary.
