The Eva Perry Regional Library’s story time for toddlers will be at 10 a.m. and story time for preschoolers will be at 11 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 2100 Shepherd’s Vineyard Drive, Apex.

Senior Bingo

Holly Springs seniors can play Bingo from 1-3 p.m. every first and third Wednesday of the month at Bass Lake Park, 900 Bass Lake Road. Bingo cards cost $1 and there will be cash prizes of up to $10.

Growers Market

Peak City Pig Fest

What: The fourth annual Peak City Pig Fest features about 50 barbecue teams from all over the country cooking chicken, pork ribs, beef brisket and pulled pork while competing for thousands of dollars in prizes. It’s the only Kansas City Barbecue Society-sanctioned event in the Triangle.

When: A beer garden and the cooking area will both open at 5 p.m. Friday, June 19, with two contests being judged at 6:30 and 7 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Cooking team check-ins vary). Racing pigs are Saturday at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Where: Downtown Apex, 210 N. Salem St.

Admission: Free, except for food.
