As Cary redesigns its official website, residents can give their input about townofcary.org through Monday, Nov. 30, at caryhaveyoursay.com. The survey takes about three minutes. Participants aren’t required to identify themselves unless they want to be considered for a possible focus group.

Cary’s annual Downtown Urban Open Disc Golf Tournament & Youth Exhibition continues from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, at the Herbert C. Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave.
The 2015 DUO Disc Golf Tournament is Sunday. Entry into the tournament is sold out, but spectators are welcome. townofcary.org.
Lazy Daze grants
Cary nonprofits can apply for grants supported by the Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival through Sunday, Dec. 6. Organizations must have 501(c) 3 designation. Priority will be given to cultural arts, projects supporting the town’s projects or downtown Cary and other local causes. Applications are available at the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources office in Town Hall, 316 N. Academy St., or online: bit.ly/1SiLnRE.
Holly Jolly Jog
The Holly Jolly Jog will raise money for the local Fill Your Bucket List Foundation, a Cary-based nonprofit that grants wishes to adult cancer patients, from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, at Southern Village in Chapel Hill. Transit plan meeting
Learn about the Recommended Transit Plan for Wake County from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, in the Raleigh Convention Center Exhibit Hall, 500 S. Salisbury St., Raleigh.
There will be examples of bus rapid transit features, maps and timelines for the count’s recommended bus network. Wake County and local transportation agencies’ representatives will explain the plan and answer questions.
540 Public meeting
The N.C. Department of Transportation will have a meeting for Complete 540 from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 8, in the cafeteria of Holly Springs High School, 5329 Cass Holt Road. There won’t be a formal hearing, but residents will learn more about plans to extend the Triangle Expressway from the N.C. 55 Bypass in Apex to the U.S. 64/U.S. 264 Bypass in Knightdale. This will link the towns of Apex, Cary, Clayton, Garner, Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs and Raleigh. Wreaths Across America
Boy Scout Troop 213 will honor current and former service members with a Wreaths Across America ceremony at noon Saturday, Dec. 12, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Cary. If you are using a GPS, use the address 608 Page St.

Tobacco Road Marathon and Half-Marathon registration
Registration is open for the annual Allscripts Tobacco Road Marathon and the GNC Half Marathon to be held Sunday, March 13, along the American Tobacco Trail, starting in Cary. Registration fees are $90 for the marathon and $80 for the half marathon. Registration will increase incrementally until the run. All proceeds go to JDRF, the Wounded Warrior Project, the American Red Cross and the Rails to Trails Conservancy as well as Wake County Parks and Recreation. tobaccoroadmarathon.com.
