Holland Chapel homecoming
Holland Chapel AME Zion Church will observe its annual homecoming at the 10 a.m. service Sunday, May 15, at the church, 360 Burgess Road, Apex. An open house honoring Cheri Spitz will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 22, in the Family Life Center of Resurrection Lutheran Church, 100 Lochmere Drive W., Cary. Spitz has been the director of the church’s preschool for 30 years and plans to retire July 1.
The Brass Band of Saint Francis United Methodist Church in Cary will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 12, in the Christian Life Center at White Plains United Methodist Church, 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. Greater Life Ministries collects toys and clothes to give to homeless and needy families. The organization also collects household items, furniture, clothing and more.
