U.S. Submarine Veterans Inc., Tarheel Base, will hold its business and social meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at Cary American Legion Post 67, 8523 Chapel Hill Road. Base Commander Dave Campbell will be the guest speaker.

Cary Garden Club
The Cary Garden Club recently held its annual Installation Luncheon. Officers for 2016-17 are: Sue Grayson, president; Michele Blackley, vice president; Jill Kendal, secretary; Margie Maddox, treasurer; Hollie Douglas, parliamentarian; and Diane Rosendahl, historian.
The club also received several awards from the Garden Club of North Carolina: Third Place for the Catherine Williams Yearbook Award; Third Place for the Durham Council of Garden Clubs Website Award; Second Place for the Gail Hill Scholarship Award; and Second Place for the Club of the Year Award. The Fuquay-Varina Woman’s Club recently held its annual installation of officers and awards banquet.
