Jessica Edwards Whiting, 52, went home to her Father God on January 23, 2014, after a courageous and inspirational five year battle against breast cancer. At the time of her death, she was cared for by her husband, Arthur Whiting, and Hospice.
A native of Hampshire County, West Virginia, Jessica was a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, WV. She was a longtime telecommunications professional and resided in Cary, NC for the last six years with her adoring husband. They attended church at Hope Chapel in Apex.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving parents, Gary and Connie Edwards, Slanesville, WV; sisters, Rebecca Hott, Slanesville, WV, and Joann Meginley, Vienna, VA; and brother, Bryan Edwards, Morgantown, WV. She is also survived by three step-daughters, Meleah Febles, Cape Coral, FL, Kellen Whiting and Lyndle Whiting, both of Tallahassee, FL; and a step-son, Devin Whiting, Beijing, China; each of whom she could not have loved more if they were her very own. She is also survived by five step-grandsons, each of whom she loved so very much.
A memorial service will be held at Hope Chapel on Saturday, February 22 at 10 a.m. Hope Chapel is located at 6175 Old Jenks Road, Apex, NC 27523. Visitation, fellowship and a luncheon will be immediately after the service.
