Sherrill Douglas Langston passed away on May 18th 2016, he was born in Wilmington NC April 18th 1942 and lived to the age of 74. He resided in his hometown of Princeton NC for the last decade of his life. As Doug requested he had a small not publicly announced graveside service for his family and close friends to celebrate his life instead of mourning a loss. Doug accomplished many things including but not limited to being the area's second Eagle scout, playing on the Highschool's only undefeated basketball team, and winning plenty of dancing competitions down at White Lake NC. He went on to graduate from UNC Chapel Hill and served in Vietnam. He was embodied with the work ethic and business mindset of his father and spent the majority of his life working for himself. More importantly than the businesses, projects, and homes that he was able to create and build, Doug was a builder of people. He had many friends over the years but he also touched their lives in a way many people can't replicate. He took people he cared about and showed them their full potential. The word "can't" was not a part of his vocabulary. He was an example and role model to show the world anything can be possible when you put 100% of yourself into it. Not only was Doug successful, but many people have gone on to live fulfilling and successful lives just because they were lucky enough to be a part of his. Doug's memory will live on those lives he touched. In lieu of flowers he asked you make a donation to the SPCA.
