I have read reports of two roundabouts being planned for Chatham Street. The cost estimate was more than $2 million. It was stated that much of the money for this work would come from other sources, such as the federal government. In this time when governments at every level are having to cut important items from their budgets, and the federal government is awash in debt, it is inconceivable that we should be building projects that are so unnecessary.
If the Town of Cary has money to squander, perhaps the residents should receive a reduction in their taxes.
