Overtime points

• Green Hope leads the Conference Cup race in the Southwest Wake Athletic Conference after the winter sports season. Points are determined by conference finish in all sports. Standings: Green Hope 84, Apex 80.5, Panther Creek 77, Holly Springs 62, Cary 56.5, Middle Creek 56, Athens Drive 45, Fuquay-Varina 42.

• In the N.C. High School Athletic Association Wells Fargo state cup race, Cardinal Gibbons holds a commanding 430-397.5 lead for the 3A Cup over Waxhaw Marvin Ridge, and Green Hope is up 355-255 on Cornelius Hough. Green Hope has won the last four state 4A cups while Gibbons has won eight straight in 2A and 3A. Points are determined by postseason finish.

• Green Hope’s Zach Compton, Holly Springs’ John McNulty, Cardinal Gibbons’ Chase Rhode, Fuquay-Varina’s Dean Rutherford and Apex’s Robert Smith were named to the N.C. Coaches Association East-West All-Star boys socer game, to be played in July at UNC-Greensboro.

• Wake Christian senior Beau Barger has committed to play football at Lenoir-Rhyne next year. The Bears were the NCAA Division II runner-up.

• Wake Christian senior Dana Johnson has committed to run women’s cross country at Louisburg Junior College next year.

• The Big Eight 3A Conference announced all of its winter sports all-conference honors. Cardinal Gibbons’ Moses Romocki and Justin Reid made the list in boys basketball; Morgan Reid, Olivia Smith and Madison Beuris did so in girls basketball; Jonah Turner was the league’s coach of the year in swimming; David Wicklin and Nicholas Witham were all-conference wrestlers.
