Police Blotter, Jan. 26

Carrboro

• Marcus Barton Cranford, 22, of 101 Lorraine St. was charged Jan. 14 with felony larceny, police reported.



• Police reported a burglary on the 400 block of Jones Ferry Road Jan. 13 around 2 a.m. in which a pry tool was used to open a window while residents were on the premises.



Chapel Hill

• Jason Marshall Hale, 36, of 220 Elizabeth St. F8 was charged Jan. 15 with two felony counts of failure to appear and misdemeanor failure to appear, police reported.



• Julius Walter Gilchrist, 51, of 130 S. Estes Drive B11 was charged Jan. 14 with two felony counts of failure to appear and misdemeanor failure to appear, police reported.



• Justin Demond Hardy, 29, of 167 Wintersage, Pittsboro was charged Jan. 14 with six felony counts each of possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine and possession of cocaine, police reported.



• Alex Kitley Mitchell-Schwartz, 19, of 4 Blue Bottle Lane, Durham was charged Jan. 13 with felony forgery of a prescription, police reported.



• Ricardo Espinosa, 19, of 101 N.C. 54, Carrboro was charged Jan. 12 with two felony counts each of possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule II controlled substance and manufacturing a schedule I controlled substance as well as two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, police reported.



• Mark Alexander Linker, 20, of Johnston County was charged Jan. 10 with felony common law robbery and felony conspiracy to commit robbery, police reported.



• Christopher Scott Dean, 37, of 2750 Thanksgiving Fire Road, Selma was charged Jan. 10 with felony robbery, felony common law robbery, felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance, felony conspiracy to commit robbery, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked, police reported.



Hillsborough/Orange County

• Hillsborough police charged Davon Rucker, 30, Jan. 15 with felony assault on a law enforcement officer inflicting serious injury, two felony counts of larceny and felony fugitive from another state, the sheriff’s office reported.



• Rico Lashawn Moses, 38, was charged Jan. 13 with felony parole violation, the sheriff’s office reported.



• Bernard Leon Daye, 57, was charged Jan. 12 with felony failure to appear, the sheriff’s office reported.



• The sheriff’s office reported break-ins to:



- a residence on the 6000 block of McGowan Creek Road in the Efland area Jan. 14 in which entrance was gained after the front door was kicked in.

- a home on the 1700 block of St. Mary’s Road in the Hillsborough area Jan. 14 in which a window pane was broken to gain entrance.
