Scenes: 17th annual Orange County Community Dinner

Nerys Levy and Mildred “Mama Dip” Council of Mama Dip’s Kitchen founded the Community Dinner 17 years ago to celebrate Orange County’s diversity. About 600 people attend the two-hour event each year in the McDougle Schools cafeteria. The theme: “Sit down with a stranger, leave with a friend.”

Hundreds attended the 17th annual Community Dinner organized by Nerys Levy and Mildred “Ma Dip” Council to celebrate Orange County’s diversity. The dinner, featuring food, entertainment from black gospel to ethnic Karen dancing from Burma, was held Sunday at McDougle Schools. Here are photos from the event.
