Commissioner Renee Price announced this week she will seek re-election in November 2016 to a second term on the Orange County Board of Commissioners.
Price, who was elected as the District 2 representative in 2012, said it’s been “a time of excitement and challenge, and a labor of love.” District 2 covers the northern half of Orange County.
The county has hit several “milestones in our campaign for equity and justice,” including the opening of the Rogers Road Community Center, extending bus service to Cedar Grove and landing new jobs through the opening of the Morinaga factory in western Orange County, Price said in a news release.
There’s more work to do to address the community’s many needs and values, she said.

“Looking forward, I want to build upon the momentum we have set in motion, and strive to provide greater opportunities for our children and adults to prosper and live in dignity,” Price said.
“I will pursue options to boost our local economy, reduce unemployment, assure safe and decent housing, improve accessibility, encourage our young people, assist our older adults, protect our natural resources, and promote energy conservation and efficiency,” she said.
