Police need the public’s help cracking an increase in breaking and entering crimes to homes and apartments.
The Carrboro Police Department sent out a news release Wednesday asking citizens call 911 if they see suspicious activities and people in their neighborhoods. The break-ins are happening during the day and at night, police Capt. Cornell Lamb said in the release. He advised residents to make sure they lock the doors and windows before leaving home and activate any alarm systems.
Citizens with information about break-ins or potential suspects also can call Carrboro police Lt. Cannady at 919-918-7417 or Crime Stoppers at 919-942-7575.
