The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold an informal public meeting regarding proposed improvements on Mt. Carmel Church Road and Bennett Road in Orange County.
The meeting will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at Culbreth Middle School at 225 Culbreth Road in Chapel Hill.
The purpose of proposed improvements will be to improve vehicular safety by reducing crashes in this area through an intersection upgrade.
Interested citizens may attend at any time during the meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments regarding the project.

Citizens will also have the opportunity to submit comments and questions in writing. All written comments and questions should be submitted no later than Thursday, June 30.
