Authorities on Monday continued to investigate a baby from Chapel Hill who died Saturday night after being found in a South Carolina pond.
The 6-week-old boy, King Khalil Jair Alexander, was found in a pond near Tanger Outlets, on U.S. 501 northwest of Myrtle Beach. The baby died as a result of drowning, Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden said.
The Horry County Police Department is investigating. No other information was immediately available.
