Orange County sheriff’s deputies say two people were found shot to death Friday morning at a home on Doc Corbett Road in northern Orange County.
Yellow crime scene tape blocked the gravel drive leading to the home at 6206 Doc Corbett Road, about half a mile off Carr Store Road in the Cedar Grove community northwest of Hillsborough.
The sheriff’s office withheld information about the victims, including their names, until family members could be notified. It also did not release details about the shooting, including a possible motive.
Deputies responded to the mid-morning call that two people with gunshot wounds had been found inside the home. There did not appear to be an ongoing threat to public safety, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.
