A judge ordered a man charged with murdering two people found Friday in a northern Orange County home to remain in jail without the option of posting bail.
District Court Judge Beverly Scarlett made the ruling during Armando Garcia Lopez’s first court appearance Monday in Orange County District Court.
Lopez, 31, was arrested Saturday in Greensboro and charged with killing Armando Aguirre Jr. and Manuela Gomez-Arreola, according to arrest warrants. Aguirre was 37 and lived in Graham, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a call mid-morning Friday that two people with gunshot wounds had been found in Lopez’s home on Doc Corbett Road in Cedar Grove.
