Coat drive

Welcome Baby’s third annual winter coat drive will continue through Wednesday, Dec. 31, in Durham. The coat drive’s organizers are seeking coats, hats, gloves and scars in sizes for babies and children, up to seven or eight years old. welcomebaby.org.

Alumni run

The 10th annual Chapel Hill High School Cross-Country Alumni Run will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Chapel Hill High School Culton-Peerman Stadium, 1709 High School Road, Chapel Hill. Former cross-country runners, family and friends are invited to run or walk the 5K course. Registration costs $10 for adults and $5 for kids. Proceeds will benefit the school’s cross-country teams.
