FRIDAY NIGHT MUSIC SERIES: Bynum Front Porch’s Friday Night Music Series concerts will be from 7-9 p.m. Fridays on the outdoor stage at the Bynum General Store, 950 Bynum Road. bynumfrontporch.org.

BENEFIT FOR OPEN HEMISPHERES: Cat’s Cradle will hold a fundraising concert for Open Hemispheres at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, at 300 E. Main St., Carrboro. catscradle.com.

ARTS GRANTS: The Orange County Arts Commission’s Fall 2015 arts grant application deadline is 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1. Nonprofits, schools and individual artists can apply for grants. artsorange.org.

ONCOLOGY EXPRESSIVE ARTS PROGRAM: FRANK Gallery and the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center are collecting art supplies to give to patients and caregivers in the N.C. Cancer Hospital. Donations will be accepted through Thursday, Dec. 24, at FRANK Gallery, 109 E. Franklin St. A party to launch the event will be on Thursday, Dec. 3.

‘MESSIAH’: The 50th Annual Open Sing of Handel’s “Messiah” is at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Newman Catholic Student Center Parish Activity Center, 214 Pittsboro St., Chapel Hill.
