Jim Nash, a caring brother, son, uncle, friend and teacher, died in his Portland, Oregon, home on August 4, surrounded by people who love him. Jim, of Greensboro, Chapel Hill and Raleigh, NC; Berlin, Germany; San Francisco; Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina; and Portland, was an associate professor in the School of Social Work at Portland State University. He was so much more than any narrative can convey, but he loved exploration through travel and books, he loved helping people, he loved laughing, and he loved his family and friends. Jim is loved and missed by many.
