Conference champions Carrboro and Chapel Hill each saw two of their players earn spots on the N.C. Soccer Coaches Association all-state teams last week, while PAC-6 co-champion East Chapel Hill had one player get all-state honors.
Carrboro (22-3-1), which won the Mid-State Conference and got as far as the state semifinals this year, placed senior goalkeeper Richard Cato and junior forward Ywa Moo on the coaches’ 2A team. That marked the third time in four years that two Carrboro players have been named all-state.
Senior forward Duncan Davis and junior midfielder John Walden of Big Eight champion Chapel Hill (20-5-1) made the coaches’ 3A team
Walker Hayter, a senior defender, represented East Chapel Hill (12-6-1) on the NCSCA 4A team. Conference co-champion Jordan (13-7-0) was the only other PAC-6 team with a player on the team
