Here is Photo No. 10 in our Summer Photo Contest.
This (really) this is the last of 10 photos we’re publishing in the contest, and entries are now welcome. Contestants need merely try to identify the exact location reflected, in order, in Photos 1-10, which have appeared in Wednesday and Sunday print editions as well as online for the past few weeks. Each photo is of notable works of art on display in or around recreation areas or athletics facilities in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Orange County.
Observant contestants will note that we briefly published a different photo No. 10 online as opposed to the one that appeared in print in the Wednesday’s CHN edition of Aug. 19. We’ll be happy to accept identification of either one on any entry. (No extra credit for naming both.)
Email your entry to email@example.com. Please me sure to include your name and a phone number so we can contact the winners. One entry per person.
The keen-eyed observer who accurately identifies the most locations will win a pair of athletic shoes courtesy of the Fit-losophy professionals at Fleet Feet Sports in Carrboro and Durham. (In case of a ties, winners will be selected in a random drawing.)
Don’t know them all? Don’t worry! You don’t have to name all 10 to have a chance to win. Plus, this year, Fleet Feet is offering a $40 gift certificate for second-place and a $20 gift certificate for our third-place winners, so just a few correct answers may win a prize!
We’re planning to run all 10 photos online in a review at www.newsobserver.com/ this weekend, and the entry period will close at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 30. A winner will be announced Sept. 2.
