Clayton chamber

A ribbon cutting for the Food Lion in Flowers Plantation is scheduled for noon Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 50 Neuse River Parkway, Clayton.

A ribbon cutting for the Food Lion in the Market at Riverwood is scheduled for noon Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 238 Pritchard Road, Clayton.

Business honored

George and Jean Hogshead, owners of Clayton-based Servpro of Johnston County, received the President’s Bronze Award during Servpro’s 44th annual national convention in Anaheim, Calif. The couple earned the award for outstanding revenue performance.

Servpro specializes in disaster cleanup, restoration and remediation services.

Summer social

The Chamber Women’s Business Network will hold Taste of Tuscany, a summer social, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, in Room 1404 of the Johnston Medical Mall on North Bright Leaf Boulevard in Smithfield. The cost is $12 per person and includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, lemonade and a raffle.
