Parents, siblings, grandparents and other family members gathered under a setting sun on Friday to cheer on more than 300 seniors as they graduated from Clayton High. They packed the bleachers and surrounded the graduates in lawn chairs on the high school’s football field to congratulate their loved ones. A total of 324 walked across the stage. The senior class’ student government association president, Kennedy Thorne, said the invocation and class president Brandon Peake, valedictorian Allison Ann Tormey and salutatorian Taylor Catherine Outlaw addressed the crowd.
