The Johnston County school system has named its Custodian of the Year for 2014.

Andrea Ramirez, head custodian at Cleveland Middle School, received the honor during the school system’s 2014 Sparkle Awards Ceremony. She received a plaque.

The Cleveland Middle administration said Ramirez was deserving of the honor.

“Andrea Ramirez is an amazingly dedicated employee who exemplifies the standards of excellence we have at Cleveland Middle School and in Johnston County,” said Roger Norris, assistant principal at Cleveland Middle School. “She demonstrates the desire for quality in her performance and leadership within our school.

“Mrs. Ramirez provides the Cleveland Community and Johnston County Schools a learning environment of which we can all be very proud. She is committed to our guiding principle, Excellence is the Expectation.”
