A Watch Night service is scheduled for 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Howell Chapel Church, 214 Preston St., Selma. Breakfast will follow the service.

Financial Peace

Two Johnston County churches will offer Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University. They are:

Oakland Presbyterian Church – 7 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 14-March 18, at the church, 8927 Cleveland Road in the Cleveland community. Child care will be available. More information and registration are online at www.daveramsey.com. Or call Earl Corbett at 919-934-5476.

Support group

Horne Memorial United Methodist Church will offer DivorceCare and DivorceCare for Kids starting Jan. 6. They will meet from 6:15 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at the church, 121 E. Second St., Clayton. DivorceCare is a video seminar series and support group. DivorceCare for Kids, or DC4K, offers games, activities, arts and crafts, stories, exercise, videos and music for children ages 5-12.
