Spring fundraisers

A spring bazaar is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at Bizzell Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4700 Bizzell Grove Church Road, Princeton. The bazaar will offer crafts, breakfast and lunch. To become a vendor, email eaycock08@yahoo.com.

Plates of barbecued chicken will be on sale from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Sardis Baptist Church, 5444 Brogden Road, Smithfield. The cost, including beverage, is $8 per plate. Takeout will be available.

Mosaic Church will hold a yard sale from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2, on the empty lot on U.S. 70 Business between Durham and Compton streets. Shop that day or bring the kids to ride a pony. Proceeds will help provide fresh produce to needy families. To donate items for the yard sale, email Dawn Pope at pope75@earthlink.net.

Barbecue plates will be on sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Baptist Center Church, 2163 Ranch Road, Clayton. The cost is $8 per plate, with takeout available. For orders of 10 or more plates, go tobaptistcenterchurch.org.

Ebenezer United Methodist Church will serve fish and shrimp plates from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the Bentonville Community Building, 8266 Devil’s Racetrack Road, Four Oaks. Plates are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dine-in meals are all you can eat. A country store will offer homemade cakes, pies, candies and cookies.

A yard sale to benefit Operation Christmas Child is scheduled from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 2, at Whitley Memorial United Methodist Church, 300 Wilson’s Mills Road, Smithfield. The sale will offer Christmas decorations, crafts, home decor and other items.

Programs, services

Rose Fisher will sing at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 19, at Asbury United Methodist Church on South Bright Leaf Boulevard at Caroline Avenue in Smithfield. Admission is free; the church will collect an offering for the singer.

Revival services are scheduled for 6 p.m. April 19 and 7 p.m. April 20-22 at Smyrna Original Free Will Baptist Church on N.C. 96 in the Meadow community. The Rev. Randy Beasley.

A Youth Day service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sunday, April 26, at Sanders Grove Baptist Church on N.C. 210 west of Smithfield. LaMale Williams, a teen minister, will speak. Lunch will follow the service.

Revival services are scheduled April 26-29 at Progressive Presbyterian Church, 3790 Progressive Church Road, Princeton. Here’s the schedule: 11 a.m. Sunday, the Rev. Jack Booth with music by Billy and Donna Mickle; 6 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Turner Matthews with music by Tracy and Nadine Rhodes; 7 p.m. Monday, the Rev. Cecil Tucker with music by Cecil and Judy Tucker; 7 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Dennis Pollock with music by Larry Hardee; and 7 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Donald Ray Massey with music by the Massey Family.

Revival services are scheduled for 7 p.m. April 26 and 7:30 p.m. April 28-29 at Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church, 164 Barbour’s Chapel Road, Four Oaks. Dr. John Roller will speak.

Revival services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. April 20 and 7 p.m. April 20-22 at Bethesda Baptist Church on U.S. 70 Business between Clayton and Smithfield.

A Men’s Day program is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, April 26, at St. Mark AME Church, 409 Bridge St., Smithfield. The Rev. Abdue Knox of Bethel AME Church in Selma will speak, and the men’s choir from his church will sing.

Revival services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. May 17 and 7 p.m. May 18-20 at Divine Crossings Baptist Church, 440 Little Divine Road. The church will hold Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 2. Games being at 10 a.m. A pig picking follows at 12:30 p.m.

Overseer E.J. Convington is celebrating his 33rd anniversary as pastor of Mt. Calvary Holiness Church of Deliverance, 114 Lakeview Drive, Four Oaks. Services in his honor are scheduled for 7 p.m. April 23 and 6 p.m. April 24 at the church. For more information, call 919-793-3008.
