Fall Baseball Skills Camp

The 2014 McGee’s Crossroads Athletic Association/West Johnston Fall Baseball Skills Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at McGee’s Crossroads Middle School. The cost is $60 per camper or $100 for two kids from the same family. Baseball players in grades 6-12 are invited to attend. Players will be split into middle school, junior varsity and varsity divisions for instruction. The camp staff, led by West Johnston High baseball coach Joey Worley, will feature Cliff Allred, a former college player and coach, Rod Gorham, a former college player, and Carmine Pagano, a former college player and San Diego Padres strength and conditioning coordinator. Basketball Academy seeks coaches, mentors

The Smithfield-Selma Sports Academy Basketball organization is looking for people within the community who are interested in serving as coaches and mentors to the youth of our area. The Academy is a locally sponsored basketball non-profit organization that will field multiple travel teams. Plans are to offer teams serving grades 5-8. If interested, sssacademy27577@gmail.com.
