Austin’s Notables: Austin went 37-7 as a senior, finishing third at 126 pounds in the NCHSAA 3A Individual State Championships. He said that was his most memorable achievement on the mat. … “What I’ll remember most is working with great coaches and having such a great team to be around,” Austin said. “To be able to finish my career as a team captain on a team that went undefeated in duals during the season and place at states, I couldn’t have asked for anything better.” … The Palmer’s grandparents live in Ohio, so Austin will have some family ties around. … He had 106 career wins.
