Stove fire fills Durham home with smoke

A stove fire filled a home at 4112 Fayetteville Road with smoke Sunday, but the occupants were able to stay in the home.

Firefighters said the residents had used a fire extinguisher to put out the flames before fire trucks arrived shortly before 4 p.m.

Firefighters used fans to remove the smoke that had spread throughout the one-story home, they said.
