Holiday giving programs

The Durham County Department of Social Services is seeking donations for the annual Thanksgiving and Christmas programs until Friday, Oct. 31. 919-681-1835.

Carolina Tiger Rescue

The ninth annual Paws4ever Annual Walk for Animal Protection will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Paws4ever Sanctuary, 6311 Nicks Road, Mebane. Hunger Walk

The 26th annual Hunger Walk to raise money for CORA Food Pantry will begin with registration at 1:30 p.m. and the walk at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, in Pittsboro. Details will be available closer to the date of the walk. corafoodpantry.org.

Children’s Flight of Hope

Brew Durham 5

Brew Durham 5 will raise money for The Scrap Exchange with local beer and food in two sessions from 1-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at The Scrap Exchange, 2050 Chapel Hill Road, Durham. Advance tickets cost $35 per session. brewdurham5.eventbrite.com.

WCOM-LP 103.5

The Hickory Tavern will host a fundraiser for the radio station WCOM-LP 103.5 from 5-10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, inside the Hampton Inn, 370 E. Main St., Carrboro. wcomfm.org.

Goat Parade

The Goat Parade gala and live auction will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Galloway Ridge Retirement Community, 3000 Galloway Ridge, Pittsboro. The event will raise money for the Robert & Pearl Seymour Center and Pittsboro’s Chatham County Council on Aging.
