Independent Animal Rescue will hold its 11th annual Painted Chair and More Auction from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at the American Legion Hall, 1714 Legion Road in Chapel Hill.
Join fellow animal and art lovers, mingle and bid on great silent and live auction items including one-of-a-kind hand-crafted painted furniture, paintings, jewelry, pottery, and sculpture from local artists, as well as performances, services, dining and vacation trips. The annual auction is IAR’s largest fundraiser with a goal to reach $30,000 for foster care, adoption programs and spay/neuter programs of free-roaming and companion animals in our community.
Silent Auction action is from 5 to 7 p.m. with a live auction hosted by Charley Karnes from Carolina Benefit Auctions beginning at 7 p.m.
“IAR’s Painted Chair Auction is our signature fundraising event,” President Christina Burch said. “It helps us get to know the community we serve, while making it possible to pay for the vaccinations, neutering, and other medical care the cats and dogs in our community need. We look forward to enjoying a fun evening of art, food, and music with our animal loving friends to support a great organization.”
