▪ Lucretia Bell of Durham graduated summa cum laude from Hollins University. Bell earned a Bachelor of Arts in theatre.

▪ BJ’s Membership Club of Raleigh donated 1,000 hygiene kits to Urban Ministries of Durham.

▪ John Deal, director of the EMS Program at Durham Technical Community College, earned his credential as a Certified Critical Care Paramedic. He is also certified as a Nationally Registered Paramedic and a Certified Flight Paramedic.

▪ The EMS Program at Durham Technical Community College received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs. The program was also recently listed as an approved provider of the Critical Care Transport Review Course through the Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification.

▪ A group from the John Avery Boys and Girls Club attended the weekend Key Leaders conference in April.
