Take a giant step
In the N&O “Point of View”on Thursday, the obvious left-leaning writer attempted to smear the Trump rallies with statements like this: “One cannot help but take note that those being taunted and removed are persons of color, or another faith. The presidential candidate watches with smug satisfaction and does nothing to halt the despicable display of hate being unleashed.”
Perhaps Ned Walsh, the writer, should look at his TV, or look in the newspaper to get the whole picture of what is happening these days. He would see loads of minorities marching down the middle of busy streets, stopping traffic, shouting vile slogans, breaking windows, carrying signs, all under the watchful eyes of their concerned leaders, who can’t wait to see a TV camera so they can bemoan their major beef – be it police shortcomings, because some young teen was shot when not obeying a police order. The leaders will demand more police training, more town meetings, more, more, more, yet they watch their own run roughshod over our community .
It would be a giant step forward if these concerned minority leaders would take responsibility for the actions of their own, maybe just once. So for once, let’s all admit that Trump is guilty of some things, but if any of the readers, including Mr. Walsh, would ever read about H. Clinton, her actions while she was Secretary of State, and countless other tidbits, Mr. Walsh might do well to be less critical.
