Eastern Wake News

Website features a new look

Viewers of the Eastern Wake News website can now view our reports online through a new and improved website.

The website address, www.easternwakenews.com, hasn’t changed, but just about everything else has. We’ve simplified the navigation of the site, so you don’t have to drill down through the website so far to find the stories you want to read.

The new website is also designed to provide viewers with a better experience for flipping through our photo galleries, one of the most popular features of easternwakenews.com.

Over the next few weeks, as we learn how to use the website’s new tools to their best use, you may see some stories in odd places, but be sure we’re working hard to keep the site updated properly.

As people retrieve their news in different ways, we’re learning that more people are using mobile platforms to catch up on the latest news and events. The new website is optimized to be user-friendly to those who visit us on their cell phones, tablets and other mobile platforms.

There’s one other change you should know about the new website: starting in a few weeks, the Eastern Wake News website will require a subscription for viewing some stories. You’ll be able to see all the story summaries on our home page and on all our section fronts for free. You’ll also be able to read 10 stories each month at no charge. To read more stories, simply visit bit.ly/1Nj4F8N to get full access to all that’s on our website.

We hope you’ll spend some time revisiting easternwakenews.com and let us know what you think. You can email me at the address at the top of this story.
