More than 100 dog owners lined up against the fence at the Ashley Wilder Dog Park Saturday morning, sorting through tangled leashes and energetic pups greeting each other with wagging tails.
For the second year, Paws in the Park preceded the children’s Easter egg hunt, complete with goodie bags for the canines. Sparky the Dalmation from the fire department and the Easter Bunny were available for photo opportunities.
After a 10-second countdown, they leaped toward the colorful eggs scattered around the mulchy park. Their owners of all ages collected the prizes in a hunt that lasted mere minutes.
