Cub Scout roundup

Cub Scout Pack 522 will hold is annual “Round Up” for the new scout year at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at Zebulon Baptist Church, 400 N. Arendell Ave., Zebulon. The pack meets at 7 p.m. Monday nights at Zebulon Baptist.

International Food Festival

The 12th annual International Food and Music Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at the J. Ashley Wall Towne Square in downtown Wendell. Attractions include food booths and entertainment by Barleycorn & Rye, Damascus Ridge, Fil-Am Dance Troupe, Inis Cairde School of Irish Dance, Rhythmicity, St. Eugene Hispanic Choir and St. Eugene Hispanic Dancers. Little Miss & Mr. Wendell

The Little Miss & Mr. Wendell contest will be held Oct. 3 and 4 at the Wendell Harvest Festival. Contestants will ride a float at 10 a.m. Oct. 4 in the festival parade, and will gather at the town square stage at 11:30 a.m., where each contestant will be introduced and winners will be crowned. Class reunion

The East Wake High School Class of 1984 will hold its 30th reunion from 4:30 to midnight Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Zebulon Rotary Club, 405 W. Sycamore St., Zebulon. Pigeon Forge trip

Zebulon Parks & Recreation will hold a Smoky Mountain Getaway to Pigeon Forge, Tn., Nov. 3-5. The tour features two live shows, visits to the Christ in the Smokies Museum and the Titanic Museum, and a guided tour deep into the mountains. Call 919-823-0432 for more information.

Abrakadoodle, for ages 20 months to 12 years old, meets Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings. at the Knightdale Recreation Center, 101 Lawson Ridge Road, Knightdale. Twoosy (20 months to 3 years old) will be offered from 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday and 4-4:45 p.m. Tuesday. Mini-Doodler (3 and a half to 5 years old) will be offered from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday and 4-4:45 p.m. Thursday. Doodler (5 and a half to 12 years old) will be offered from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday.
