Knightdale High School’s marching band finished its season on a high note in Lee County, winning the Brick Capital Classic at Lee County High School on Nov. 1.
The band claimed the title of Grand Champions in their class.
Knightdale earned first place awards for marching, music, general effect and percussion. The band also took second place in the competition among A and AA bands for visual effect.
Under the direction of Drum Majors Chris Suggs and Reid Harris, the band’s competition performance is titled Crime Wave and features four songs: “The Crime,” “The Chase,” “The Hideout” and “The Capture.”

The win in Lee County capped a successful season for the Marching Knights, including competitions at Union Pines High School in Cameron, Trition High School in Erwin., Overhills High School in Spring Lake and Clayton High School in Clayton.
The band’s will also march in several parades during the holiday season, including the Raleigh Christmas Parade and the Knightdale Christmas Parade.
