Garden club anniversary
All former members of the Perennial Garden Club are invited to celebrate 25 years of planting and growing in Wendell, Monday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church fellowship hall, 125 S. Selma Road.

Wendell Historical Society meeting
Learn how to preserve your personal family archives from a pro at the Wendell Historical Society meeting, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, in the courtroom of the Wendell Town Hall at the corner of Fourth and Pine Streets. Guest speaker will be Jennifer E. Blomberg, head of the Collections Management Branch for the Division of Archives and Records, N.C. Department of Cultural Resources. Wendell Lions Club is holding a craft sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at 700 Lions Club Road, Wendell. Free admission. All proceeds will be used to assist local individuals in need of eye care. Most spaces for vendors are $25, which includes a 6-foot table if needed. Half the spaces include electricity.
