Easter egg hunt

Wakefield Central Baptist Church is having its annual Easter Egg Hunt for ages 0-12, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, at 308 Proctor St., Zebulon. After the egg hunt, lunch will be served. Children should bring their own baskets. More information is available at: www.wcbchurch.org.

Zebulon Baptist Church events

▪ Stations of the Cross, a walk-through pageant of drama and music, will be on Palm Sunday night, March 20 and Monday, March 21. There will be two presentations each night at 7 and 8 p.m. Free tickets are available at the church office or by calling 919-269-7329.

▪ A Maundy Thursday Service will be at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, in the sanctuary. Nursery will be provided.

▪ Easter Sunrise Service will be at 7 a.m. March 27, in the courtyard at Zebulon Baptist Church. Also, Easter Sunday Morning Worship will be at 10:15 a.m. Nursery provided for the 10:15 service.

Holy Week events

The Eastern Wake Ministerial Alliance has scheduled a host of services during Holy Week. They are as follows:

▪  Monday, March 21 - Beavers Chapel Christian Church members will preach at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church

▪  Tuesday, March 22 - Pleasant Grove Baptist Church members will preach at Beavers Chapel Christian Church

▪  Wednesday, March 23 - A member of Zebulon First Baptist Church will preach at Wendell First Baptist Church

▪  Thursday, March 24 - Wendell First Baptist Church representative will preach at Pilot Missionary Baptist Church

▪  Friday, March 25 - A member of Pilot Missionary Baptist Church will preach at Zebulon First Baptist Church

▪  Sunday, March 27 - Wakefield Baptist Church will host Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m.

Wakefield Central Baptist Easter events

▪ A Maundy Thursday Service will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24. The service will begin in the sanctuary.

▪ Sunrise Service will be at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 27, on the front lawn of the church. A fellowship breakfast will follow the Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m. in the Hendricks Fellowship Hall.

▪ Worship services are at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday, March 27. The Chancel Choir of Wakefield Central Baptist Church will present the cantata, “Lamb of God.” A nursery will be provided.

Zebulon First Baptist Church event

The 7th Annual Women’s Fellowship Conference will be held Saturday, April 2, followed by Women’s Day on Sunday, April 3.

Volunteer opportunity

Meals on Wheels of Zebulon United Methodist Church needs volunteer drivers for three routes in the Zebulon area. Volunteers will pick up the meals from the church and deliver them to the clients one day a month. For more information contact the church office at 919-269-9408.

Wednesday dinner

Knightdale United Methodist Church holds a Wednesday dinner at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at 7071 Forestville Road, Knightdale. Call 919-266-2373 for more information.

Food ministries

▪  Mt. Zion United Holiness Church runs a soup kitchen from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Friday at 200 E. Stronach Ave., Zebulon.

▪  Table of Grace offers dinners at 6 p.m. on the last Monday of the month at Wendell United Methodist Church, 129 N. Main St.

▪  Green Pines Baptist Church operates a food pantry from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at 1498 Hodge Road, Knightdale.

▪ Zebulon First Baptist Church runs a soup kitchen from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 304 East Barbee St., Zebulon.

▪  Calvary Faith Center holds a Community Day from 10 to 11 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month at 4825 Rolesville Road, Wendell. This Community Day ministry includes free boxes of food, hot dogs, drinks and health screenings. For information visit calvaryfaith.com or call 919-523-6223.
